Welcome to M.A.D. ...Metro Atlanta Divers was formed in 1989. We are a U.S.Diving registered diving team. U.S. Diving is the governing body for amateur diving in the United States.
****Our mission statement: TO OFFER A DIVING PROGRAM THAT THROUGH THE PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE, TEACHES COMMITMENT, DISCIPLINE, PERSONAL AND TEAM GOAL SETTING AND AT THE SAME TIME HAVE FUN AND GLORIFY GOD!
We are a year round, age-group and senior high school competitive diving team offering instructional classes for beginners; team training and competition for those of age 8 up to 18 based on their skills and abilities.
Since M.A.D.'s inception, the team has produced 23 All-Americans and placed 29 in Jr.Olympic Nationals.
One of M.A.D.'s team goals is that upon graduation from high school each year at least 50% of them will receive diving scholarships to college. As of this September we are batting 94% with divers on scholarship or have been on scholarship to schools such as Auburn, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Colorado State, to mention 4 out of the eleven schools attended.
Whether you are a beginner or have experience, we will afford you the opportunity to improve your skills. Those with gymnastics or dancing ( ballet or modern dance) are most welcome.

Inside you will find a bio on the coach, under Staff.
Under "About Mad" you'll find the team bio's, our lessons program, and info about our annual retreat.
Also you'll see MESSAGE BOARD and BULLETIN BOARD. These are locked sites shared only between the coach, parents, and our divers. FAQ is exactly that. Most frequently asked questions.
The photo gallery is probably the most entertaining.
But for educational purposes the LIBRARY has the History of Diving, an ARCHIVES with over 75 articles written by some of the best coaches in the world through-out the history of diving. Then there are some articles written by me.
Meets/Results will give you an idea of the meets we will probably attend and the results of those meets by individuals and as a team. The last two are self explanatory. |
